Theodore L. OLSON [Parents] 1 was born 25 Sep 1912 in Gilbert, Minnesota. He died 15 Mar 1997 in Jenks, Oklahoma. Theodore married Hazel Marion LARSON.
BIOGRAPHY: Theodore was born in Gilbert, MN, in the Missabe iron range. He was the fourth child of Frank and Aldina (sp?) Olson. His older brother Ken moved to Chicago to start a design company, and the rest of the family soon followed (presumably in search of better economic opportunities). Ted worked with his brother Ken, and later started his old design firm.
BIOGRAPHY: Ted had a job (or a contract) at Douglas aircraft plant in Chicago, which is where Ohare is now. His son, Peter, recalls what a long commute it was, and that the streetcar didn't even go out that far. (How did he get to work? Nobody knows).
BIOGRAPHY: Ted and his wife Hazel spent their adult years in Des Plaines, Il, and moved to Glenpool, Oklahoma in the late 1970's, shortly after the birth of their 3rd granddaughter, Julie.
Hazel Marion LARSON [Parents] "Pepper" 1 was born 4 Apr 1912 in Chicago, Illinois. She died 4 Feb 1997 in Glenpool, Oklahoma. Pepper married Theodore L. OLSON.
BIOGRAPHY: Hazel Olson was nicknamed Pepper. If anyone knows how she acquired this name, please tell me. My sister and I knew her as Nana of course. She and her sister, Ebba, used to speak Swedish with each other, but my sister and I never learned this.
BIOGRAPHY: I believe she was born in Chicago. She and Papa lived in Des Plaines, where they had a lovely house with a beautiful climbing tree in the front yard and lots of cookies for visiting grandchildren. I clearly remember her old-fashioned (and very dangerous) washing machine.
BIOGRAPHY: She and Papa moved to Glenpool, Oklahoma shortly after Julie was born so they could help spoil her. Nonetheless, I am very grateful to have been able to spend so much time with them.

Brian Martin NELSON [Parents] "Big Head" was born in South Dakota. He married Julie Lynn OLSON.
Julie Lynn OLSON [Parents] 1 was born 14 Jun 1977 in Jenks, Oklahoma. She married Brian Martin NELSON.
Frank OLSON 1 was born in Redwing, Minnesoata. He died in Chicago, Illinois. Frank married Aldina BERG.
BIOGRAPHY: Although Frank was born in America, his father came over from Scandinavia. Peter thinks Frank was raised in Redwing, Minnisota (a town with a mighty riverer flowing through it and surrounded by hills) and then he later moved to Gilbert, which is where he had his family. He was a Merchant -- he owned and operated merchantile stores.
Aldina BERG [Parents] 1 was born in North Dakota. She married Frank OLSON.
BIOGRAPHY: Aldina's (sp?) mother was from the old country and came across America in a wagon train headed for North Dakota. Aldina was the first baby born in her hometown. I'm not sure, but the name of the town may be North Park.
BIOGRAPHY: Aldina's mother was in her 90's when Peter Olson was born, and Peter can remember his great grandmother. Although her last name was Berg, Peter seems to recall that their original name may have been Stensby. The Berg's came from Granger, Norway

BIOGRAPHY: Peter reports that his sister valerie looks just like Inez.
John LARSON 1 was born in Sweden. He married Hanna CARLSON.
BIOGRAPHY: After arriving in the new world, John lived in Ohio before moving on to Chicago, Illinois. In his later years he had very bad arthritis, and my Nana could remember helping her mother take care of him.
BIOGRAPHY: Peter notes: They probably lived in what was then Scandinavian neighborhood in Chicago, around Clark and Foster.
Hanna CARLSON 1 was born in Sweden. She married John LARSON.
BIOGRAPHY: Peter thinks she came over from Scandinavia by way of Nova Scotia. She married John Larson, and had three children: Hazel, Carl and Ebba.

BIOGRAPHY: Ebba Larson moved to California as a young woman, and had a career as a Movie Starlet. She met and married Cass Baldo, and later moved with him to Orlando, Florida. She and Cass (or Uncle "G") have three children: Christopher, Johnathan, and Betsy.
